Search underway for robbery suspect

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Police are looking for a man wanted for robbery. The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is asking for the public’s help in the search.

According to Crime Stoppers, on Jan. 5, the male suspect entered the Village Pantry in the 1400 block of West 86th Street and asked the clerk for cigarettes. While the clerk was processing the transaction, the suspect pulled out a knife and demanded money.

After obtaining an undetermined amount of cash, the suspect fled the scene of the crime in a 2006 to 2013 white Impala with tinted windows, aftermarket chrome rims and a paper license plate.

The suspect is described as a black male who is 5’8″ tall and weighs 150 pounds.
