IPS hosts summer program resource fair

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Indianapolis Public Schools hosted a summer program resource fair on Wednesday evening.

The fair was at Arsenal Technical High School. Families and students were invited to check out summer offerings. Organizers say more than 40 organizations representing different opportunities all across the city showed up at the fair.

Ashley Beverly, IPS district level family and community engagement manager, told News 8, “It’s a huge impact, one, for our students which is what we are focused on. So, super excited that we were supported by IPS obviously to host this, but it’s an impact in the terms of our kids get to stay active over summertime.”

She adds that IPS looks to put on more summer program resource fairs to help get families and students get the offerings they need.
