Indianapolis movie theater to give away Halloween private watch parties

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Beginning the night of Oct. 9, people can go online or to the Cinemark app, and sign up for a chance to win a private watch party on Halloween, Oct. 31.

Starting at 11:30 a.m. Oct. 9, Halloween movie lovers can go to their local theater’s page on the Cinemark website or app and select any Private Watch Party showtime for the day of Oct. 31, says a news release from Cinemark Holdings Inc. Customers can only enter once. “The first 1,000 individuals to check out with a Halloween Private Watch Party will do so for free.”

Cinemark has one theater in central Indiana, the Cinemark Greenwood Corner on the south side of Indianapolis at 1848 E. Stop 13 Road.

Halloween movies being shown include “Beetlejuice,” “Hocus Pocus,” “Coco,” “Nightmare Before Christmas,” “Halloween (2018),” “A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984),” “The Addams Family (2019)” and “The Exorcist: The Version You’ve Never Seen Before (2000).”

Families are encouraged to dress in their Halloween costumes for watch parties. Costume face masks that cover the entire face will only be allowed on children 11 and younger. No simulated weapons will be allowed.

Private watch parties can involve up to 20 guests in an entire auditorium, with the cost beginning at $99 with no minimum concession purchase. Cinemark has 534 theaters in 41 states.

“Private Watch Parties have quickly become a moviegoer favorite – offering customers an exclusively immersive cinematic experience with a group they trust. In this ever-changing environment, Cinemark is happy to offer an alternative way to celebrate Halloween by bringing back some of the best movies for family fun or fright and giving away 1,000 Private Watch Parties.”
