Kelly Jo Baute, PhD, is owner of A Splendid Earth Wellness. A Splendid Earth Wellness, LLC offers personal wellness coaching, group fitness programming, and wellness and ergonomics program development and implementation for individuals and small businesses designed to decrease risk of injury and improve quality-of-life and work productivity.
Dr. K has 25 years of experience in the wellness, health and fitness industry and holds a doctorate in kinesiology and biological anthropology. She has conducted laboratory experiments of motor behavior as well as international field studies of farm-laborers’ working postures and agro-chemical exposures and eco-tourists’ recreational behavior. At 41, Dr. K was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. She had a bilateral mastectomy and reconstruction, chemotherapy and numerous other surgeries and procedures. Losing her health and wellness was as impactful as the diagnosis. Dr. K battled through and has re-built her body and her life. She completed her doctoral dissertation while finishing her chemotherapy treatments, and has re-built her career to help others.
Dr. Kelly will be at Montrose Farm Alpaca Ranch on June 21st from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm for Vegan Cooking Demonstration and Dinner: An Evening of Wellness.
