Former USA Gymnastics doctor facing sexual abuse charges
(WISH) – A former doctor with USA Gymnastics will be arraigned on several counts of sexual abuse on Tuesday.
Doctor Larry Nassar is facing charges in Michigan, including one involving a victim younger than 13.
Nassar has been accused of inappropriately touching girls as early as 1998 in his Michigan home.
The osteopathic physician served as the team doctor during four Olympic games.He left that position last fall and was fired from his teaching job at Michigan State University in September.
Nassar is also currently facing a civil suit in California that was filed by a former gymnast who also alleges sexual abuse.
