INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A Fort Wayne man was sentenced to 15 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to sex trafficking of a girl at Indianapolis-area hotels.

According to a news release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Indianapolis, court documents say Damion Alexander, 28, met a 17-year-old girl online sometime in 2021. After meeting the girl and her adult friend in person, Alexander convinced both of them to travel with him and had them engage in sex acts that financially benefited him.

From May 2021 to June 2021, Alexander transported the girl back and forth from Fort Wayne to engage in sex in Indianapolis-area hotels on multiple occasions.

Alexander took sexually explicit photos and videos of the girl and her adult friend to use for online sex advertisements. Footage obtained by investigators showed Alexander physically abusing and verbally abusing the girl while she was severely impaired.

Alexander worked with sex buyers while setting prices and directed the girl on how long to spend with them and what acts to perform. The sex buyers used CashApp to transfer payments to Alexander’s account. Alexander received and kept thousands of dollars from trafficking the girl while assuring her that he was “holding” the money and he would give it to her if she ever needed it.

In June 2021, the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department recovered the girl at the Sheraton Indianapolis Hotel at Keystone Crossing. Alexander was found loitering outside the hotel and fled when approached by police, the release says.
