IMPD: Northeast side fatal shooting self-defense
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A teenager is dead following a shooting Sunday night on the northeast side of Indianapolis.
Authorities said it happened in the 6800 block of East 56th Street around 8:15 p.m. Steve Lafavers, 19, was shot dead at the Cottages of Fall Creek apartment complex.
Three people were questioned — two males and one female, but police say the shooting is being investigated as self-defense.
Police say two of the people involved met with Lafavers before shots rang out.
