Index: Indiana among lowest well-being states
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – When it comes to being happy and healthy, Alaska is the best, while West Virginia is the worst.
That’s according to this year’s Gallup-Healthways Well-Being Index. The index is based on more that 176,000 phone interviews with people from all 50 states.
It measures how people feel about their daily lives and overall health.
Hawaii, South Dakota, Wyoming and Montana finished just behind Alaska as best for well-being.
Kentucky, Indiana and Ohio joined West Virginia at the bottom.
