INDIANAPOLIS (Inside INdiana Business) — Governor Eric Holcomb will present the International Citizen of the Year award to former Congressman and Senator Dan Coats at an event next month. The International Center in Indianapolis announced Coats as the recipient last year, but the formal presentation as postponed due to the pandemic.

The award recognizes individuals “who have made outstanding contributions to Indiana and the world in the fields of business, culture, education, government, medicine, media, research, sports or community service.” Holcomb himself received the award in 2018.

Additionally, the organization will announce the winner of the Global Impression Award, which honors emerging global leaders in Indiana.
