East Central Indiana launches new website
MUNCIE, Ind. (Inside INdiana Business) — East Central Indiana has completed its first step to compete for jobs on a national level after launching the new site, Forge Your Path. It’s a project from ten counties collaborating on a marketing effort to highlight the aspects of living in the region.
The site offers details on the area’s amenities, including festivals, museums and other activities, along with relocation information and tools to find work. East Central Indiana President and Chief Executive Officer Mindy Kenworthy says the site will be a one-stop shop.
“The idea is that there’s something here for everyone and that makes our region unique,” said Kenworthy. “Everyone from current residents to graduates looking for their next step to tourists here for a short visit should find a compelling reason to keep coming back to East Central Indiana.”
The site also features a list of ECI Ambassadors, who are able to share their experiences and knowledge of the area with visitors and potential residents/employers. Part of the effort to bring the site to fruition came from grants from local employers, including Indiana Michigan Power.
“We want ECI to be considered a major player in the Midwest when it comes to building and growing businesses. Doing that requires an understanding that our ‘better days’ are actually ahead of us and having a close relationship with local employers and residents to understand the region’s needs.”
