Steuben County Development Corp. awarded $100k
ANGOLA, Ind. (Inside INdiana Business) – In a recent round of funding from the Northeast Indiana Regional Development Authority as part of the Regional Cities Initiative, Steuben County Economic Development Corp. is being awarded $100,000 to create a coworking space on the Enterprise Center Campus in Angola.
The corporation was awarded $100,000 to complete the $668,260 phase two project.
Plans call for a conversion of the existing 70,000-square-foot, five-building complex located just south of the city’s Public Square.
The building is a former manufacturing facility will be renovated into a coworking space with 1,800 square feet of office space and 4,200 square feet of open common space.
“The SCEDC, the Board of Directors, all of our committees, and our stakeholders are extremely excited about the continuation of the progress that we have made on the Enterprise Center Campus. This new project will allow us to realize so much more of what our campus can be for the community, our county, and our region. In addition to Trine University, our current K-12 systems, and Impact Institute; adding this space to our current capacity of community systems will enhance our entrepreneurial eco-system environment” says Executive Director of the SCEDC Isaac R Lee.
The project is slated for completion in early 2021.
