1 killed, 1 arrested in motorcycle accident
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – One person was killed in a fatal, one vehicle accident involving a motorcycle.
Tiffany Smith, 33, of Indianapolis was riding as a passenger on the 2004 Haley Davidson motorcycle of Joshua Rork, 37, also of Indianapolis. Rork lost control of the motorcycle when he struck an orange construction barrel.
Smith was pronounced dead at the scene. Rork was transported to Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital. Neither Smith nor Rork were wearing helmets.
Rork was arrested on preliminary charges of operating while intoxicated; operating while intoxicated causing death and criminal recklessness with a motor vehicle.
He is currently being detained in Eskenazi Hospital.
