15-year-old boy killed, 3 others injured in west side crash on Rockville Road

UPDATE: The 15-year-old boy who died after a crash Friday morning on Rockville Road has been identified as Deshawn Holloway.

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A 15-year-old boy is dead and three other people are in the hospital after a crash on the west side Friday morning.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department says the crash happened around 8 a.m. Friday in the 6600 block of Rockville Road. That is between Girls School and High School roads.

Investigators have not confirmed what happened leading up to the accident.

The three people in the hospital are stable, according to police. They are expected to recover from their injuries.

Investigators believe the 15-year-old boy was on the passenger side when two cars collided and pinned him inside one of them. He died at the scene.

The Marion County Coroner’s Office has not identified the boy.

“IPS is deeply saddened to learn about the death of a George Washington High School student, who was involved in a car crash this morning. We are also hoping for a full recovery for a second George Washington student involved in the accident. A crisis counseling team from IPS is working with students, staff and families at the school.”
