Comment period ending on IndyGo’s major route change proposals

IndyGo gets final feedback on upcoming route changes

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — IndyGo had its final meeting to get feedback from the public about its proposed June route changes Tuesday night.

The changes are intended to move to a grid-based system. IndyGo says this change would allow for improved frequency and greater access to transfers throughout the county.

This will be the first time in over 70 years that the Indianapolis system has seen this kind of change, said Lesley Gordon, IndyGo director of public relations.

“This has been in the works since 2014, and this is what the community said that they wanted to see in our route changes. This is just us implementing that,” Gordon said.

IndyGo’s planning department will review and use public comments to develop the final proposal. That’s set to be released at the end of February.
