Ducks rescued from site of jet fuel tanker fire; 1 dies

Ducks found covered in jet fuel treated by animal clinic

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Several ducks were being monitored Wednesday after they were rescued near the location of last week’s tanker fire.

According to a Facebook post from Indianapolis Animal Care Services, the ducks were covered in the jet fuel that leaked after the Thursday crash. The crash happened on a ramp from northbound I-465 to I-70 on the east side.

Three of the ducks were taken to an animal clinic to be treated, but officials say one of the ducks died.

Photos in the Facebook post show Animal Care Services employees rescuing the ducks.
