Groups to propose new public safety initiative

Call for new public safety intiative

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Around noon, there will be a new call to crack down on the violence in and around Indianapolis.

It comes after last week’s deadly shooting of four people inside an apartment.

A citizen-driven group is being proposed to address public safety.

Not a lot of details have been released about who will make up this group but it will be a commission to study crime in the city.

It’s a similar proposal that died in the City-County Council last week.
