IPS to offer free breakfasts, lunch during remote learning

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Indianapolis Public Schools students can get a free breakfast and lunch while learning from home.

The district announced its remote-learning meal schedule on Thursday afternoon. The meal schedule will start Monday when virtual classes begin. In-person classes are not being conducted to start the school year because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Meals will be handed out at more than 55 IPS school parking lots. Kids can get meals from noon to 3 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays, and from 9 a.m. to non Tuesdays and Thursdays.
