Lawrence fire destroys 1 home, damages 2 others
LAWRENCE, Ind. (WISH) — A house fire in Lawrence destroyed one home and damaged two others.
It happened around 2 p.m. Sunday on Birmingham Drive near East 46th Street.
Fire officials say no one was home at the time, but the family did lose a dog.
Investigators say the fire spread to two other homes, damaging the siding.
Firefighters believe the fire started in the back of the home, but said it’s unclear at this point what caused the fire to start.
It took an hour for crews to get the fires under control.
