Man found guilty of threatening on Facebook to blow up courthouse

LAKE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) – A guilty verdict was reached late Thursday night in the case of a Pine Village man charged with threatening to blow up the Tippecanoe County Courthouse.

The defense for Samuel Bradbury wrapped up its case earlier Thursday in a federal courtroom in Hammond, Ind.

Prosecutors say Bradbury made threats on his Facebook page against specific police officers and judges, as well as claiming to have chemical weapons and explosives.

Bradbury told police he was exercising his freedom of speech and said the social media posts were meant as a joke.
