Unloaded gun found inside locker at Westlane Middle School
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Administrators say an unloaded handgun was found inside of a locker at Westlane Middle School.
Washington Township Schools say a teacher “observed a conversation that warranted an alert to administration” and that a student admitted to having the gun in the locker.
Law enforcement was contacted.
The district says possession of a handgun in school results in a mandatory suspension and a 365-day recommendation of expulsion.
