Man pronounced dead after being pulled from Monroe Reservoir
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP) – Authorities say an Indianapolis man has been pronounced dead after he was pulled from Monroe Reservoir south of Bloomington.
The Indiana Department of Natural Resources says 30-year-old Scott Robinson was pulled from the water Saturday. The department says authorities were dispatched to the reservoir for a person that had gone missing underwater around 6 p.m. Robinson was found by divers around 7 p.m. and taken to a hospital.
Witnesses told authorities that Robinson was getting back into a pontoon boat from the water, and that he fell back in and didn’t surface. The department says it’s not known why he fell in or if a pre-existing medical condition was a factor.
According to the department, the cause of Robinson’s death will be determined by an autopsy.
