Man sentenced in April 2014 deadly shooting
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The man charged in the 2014 murder of Ronald Howard was sentenced Thursday. He is also facing charges in a 2014 triple homicide.
According to police, Deandre Kendrick received a 60 year sentence for the murder of Howard.
Officers were dispatched to the 2800 block of North Gladstone Avenue on a report of a person shot on April 16, 2014.
They said when they arrived they found Howard inside a vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Kendrick was also charged in a triple homicide on the city’s east side in March of 2014.
Kendrick and Keith Clark, who was 25 at the time of the homicide, were both charged with three counts of murder each.
Officials said 53-year-old Martha Zuluaga, 59-year-old James Czajkowski and 58-year-old Stephen Herold were shot and killed at the Marina Apartments, near 21st Street and Post Road, on March 30. Officers found drug evidence in the apartment following the shooting.
