‘More than a Tailgate’ fundraiser supporting survivors of domestic violence

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — An annual fundraiser called “More than a Tailgate” will support survivors of domestic violence at the Crane Bay Event Center from 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. on Sunday.

The fundraiser will benefit More Than a Phone, which keeps survivors of domestic violence connected during their transition away from an abuser with free smartphones and data service.

This family-friendly tailgating event will include gourmet tailgate food, a live auction, a silent auction, outdoor games and live music from the Katherine Nagy Band. Author, social activist and domestic violence survivor Beverly Gooden will present as the guest speaker.

Proceeds from “More than a Tailgate” has helped over 4,000 survivors nationwide since it started in 2017.
