Reynolds Wrap wants to pay you $10K to travel the country and eat BBQ

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — If you like to get paid, travel, and eat BBQ, this may be the ultimate dream job for you!

American packaging company Reynolds Wrap is looking for a CGO — “Chief Grilling Officer” — whose duty will be to travel across the country, eat BBQ, and document the entire journey.

Reynolds Wrap says the idea behind it all is to identify the best grilling techniques and share those tips with other barbecue lovers on social media and the Reynolds Kitchens website.

Oh, and did we mention it’s paid too?

Even better news — the CGO will be able to bring a friend along for the ultimate foodie journey.

What’s the company looking for in the perfect candidate? Here’s how they describe that person:

“[I]f you don’t mind being paid to taste test some of the most delicious grilled dishes from across the country, posting envy-inducing pictures of your finds and falling asleep every night dreaming about your next meal, then you could have what it takes to be Reynolds Wrap’s Chief Grilling Officer.”

Reynolds Wrap didn’t say exactly where the CGO will be going but said the new hire will be “sampling and savoring grilled goods from some of the top barbecue cities in the country.”

We’re going to go ahead and guess some cities will include Dallas and Austin in Texas, probably Nashville, Tennessee, and some spots in Brooklyn, NYC.

The company says this isn’t a traditional full-time job with salary and benefits, though, if that’s what you’re looking for.

The CGO will receive a $10,000 stipend for the two weeks.

Not too shabby!

Don’t worry, travel and lodging is taken care of for the entire trip.

If you’re interested in applying, submit 100 words on why you think you’re perfect for the job, along with a picture of your favorite grilling recipe, via email to ReynoldsCGO@gmail.com.

All submissions are due by August 13.
