Shelby Co. police asking for help identifying hit-and-run suspect
SHELBY COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) – The Shelby County Sheriff Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a hit-and-run suspect.
According to police, an older white Chevy Impala is believed to have been involved in a crash, then fleeing the scene before officer’s arrived.
The crash happened on June 7, at 6:14 p.m. at the 107 mile marker of eastbound I-74.
Police said witnesses told them the d river of the white Impala stopped to check on the driver of a motorcycle that had been struck then fled the scene.
The driver is described as:
- White male
- Slender build
- Wore a fluorescent green shirt and blue jeans
- Short lighter colored hair
There should be damage near the center of the front and on the hood of the vehicle.
The vehicle in the picture above is not the suspect’s vehicle, but it is similar to the vehicle police are looking for.
