Soggy next few days with steady showers through Friday

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A warm start to the morning with temperatures starting on the mid 60s. Shower chances increasing this morning as a cold front passes through the state. Scattered showers will continue through the afternoon with breaks here and there during the day. Trick-or-treating could be dry for some but not all. There will be breaks from Indy and points northward for Halloween fun. Temperatures for the day will slide to the mid 50s this afternoon as winds shift to the north dragging down cooler air. 

Overnight rain will continue with lows falling to the mid 40s. Thursday looks miserable with steady and heavy showers through the entire day with highs in the upper 40s. Flood Watch will run for south east Indiana through Friday morning. Areas can expect to 1-2″ north of I-70. Areas south of the I-70 could pick up a hefty 2-4″. Rain will continue overnight Thursday through Friday. 

The last of the shower will move out by Friday afternoon with temperatures rising to the 50s. 

This weekend will be split with Saturday being the better of the two days. Saturday we’ll see partly sunny skies with highs in the lower 50s. Sunday showers will push through during the afternoon. Highs will warm to the upper 50s. 

Next week looks very active and almost spring like. Highs Monday will near 60 with scattered showers as a potent cold front moves in. This could spark up strong to severe storms Monday night through Tuesday. Highs will plummet after the cold front dragging in much cooler air allowing for a transition in precipitation. A light mix possible overnight Tuesday through te early morning hours Wednesday.
