Strong storms possible today, cooling off Thursday

A few spotty showers possible for the morning commute with a better chance of showers and storms during the afternoon. Temperatures are starting off warm in the mid 70s. Storms spread in closer to mid to late morning with highs climbing to the mid 80s today. Still factoring high humidity for today so feel like temperatures will tickle the lower 90s. Better chance of strong storms this afternoon and evening with a marginal risk of severe weather for central Indiana today. Main threat will be damaging winds and hail. Once the cold front moves eastward cool air will move in overnight with lows in the cool off to the low 60s and upper 50s.

Indianapolis (WISH)

Thursday will be the best day this week as highs climb to the upper 70s with mainly sunny skies during the afternoon. Humidity will stay low throughout the day so open up the windows! Temperatures climb to low to mid 80s by the end of the week lots of sunshine. The Zone forecast will perfect for some Friday night football.

Labor Day weekend will be a bit soggy with scattered shower chances through the weekend. It won’t be a washout so I wouldn’t cancel any plans. Highs will top out in the mid 80s through Monday with shower chance through next Wednesday.
