Summer-like day with storms returning Thursday

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A great start to the morning with temperatures in the lower to mid-50s. Clouds will stick around for most of the morning and afternoon with a few peaks of sunshine through the day. Highs will feel very summer-like with most nearing 80°. Clouds will thicken up Wednesday night with shower and thunderstorm chances increasing after midnight. Lows will cool to the upper 60s.

Thursday morning could be soggy for some with a scattered shower or storm chance through the morning commute. It won’t be an all day rain event. Highs will run 10° cooler with most topping out in the upper 60s and lower 70s. Storms during the day could be on the stronger side with the main threats being damaging winds, hail and some heavy rain. Rain will move out overnight and early Friday morning.

Friday will be a cooler and breezy day with highs warming to the lower 60s. 
This weekend looks ok with highs in the mid-60s for the Grand Prix. Luckily, no rain. Scattered showers move in Sunday for Mother’s Day. Next week starts dry and mild with temperatures in the lower to mid-70s with scattered storms returning midweek.
