SWAT situation ends without incident after six hours
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Officials with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said that a man barricaded himself inside a home, resulting in a SWAT team being called to the home.
The situation began just before 5 p.m. Friday and didn’t end until 11 p.m.
Police said the man barricaded himself inside a home with a rifle in the 6400 block of West Morris Street.
IMPD said that the man was already inside of the home when they arrived, and attempts at getting him to exit have been unsuccessful.
Witnesses tell police the man had been pointing a rifle out of a window.
