Trent family honored at Victory Field during Indians’ home opener
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) –Tyler Trent’s family was recognized at Victory Field Thursday night following the Indians’ season opener.
Members of Tyler’s family, including his parents Tony and Kelly Trent, were on the field after the game and pushed the button to set off the fireworks following the Indians’ win over Charlotte.
Tyler, the ultimate Purdue fan, inspired people all over the country as he fought a rare, terminal form of bone cancer. He passed away on New Year’s Day.
His parents visited News 8’s studio Thursday morning during Daybreak to talk about being honored at the game. The pair also touched on Tyler’s book “The Upset.”
