Racing is the month of May in Indy, but with racing, friend and a good time… comes good food, too!
In our kitchen today, Jenna Gatchell, Owner and Chef, 4 Birds Bakery, and Chef Steven Unrue, Sun King Brewery, share a few summertime recipes, including a yummy spread and a cocktail.
City Ham and Cheese Spread – Wee Mac
Servings: 10-12 / Active Prep Time: 10 min / Total Time: 10 Min
16 oz Cream Cheese Combine cream cheese, cheddar spread, Wee Mac, worcestershire, garlic in a stand mixer with a paddle attachement and whip to combine. Gently fold in City Ham and green onions, season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve with 4 Birds Spent Grain Crackers.
8 oz Smoking Goose City Ham, Shaved and diced
8 oz Sharp Cheddar Spread
1 bunch Green onions, thinly sliced
2 tblspn Wee Mac
1 tblspn Worcestershire Sauce
1 tsp Granulated Garlic
Salt and Pepper to Taste
Highway Smash – Highway Queen
Servings: 2 / Active Prep Time: 5 min / Total Time: 5 min
3 oz Bourbon Muddle fruit in the bottom of a boston shaker and add ice. Add bourbon, tea simple syrup, and pomegranate juice. Stir to combine and chill. Pour into two pint glasses with ice, top each with Highway Queen. Serve
2 oz black tea simple syrup
3 oz pomegranate juice
16 oz Highway Queen
Pitted fresh cherries and raspberries
