Voluntary nationwide recall issued for infant ibuprofen sold at Walmart, CVS, Family Dollar

(WFLA) – A voluntary nationwide recall has been issued for three lots of infant ibuprofen. 

The recalled lots of the product have been found to potentially have higher concentrations of ibuprofen.

The product is used a pain fever, fever reducer or both, and was packaged in half-ounce bottles for these recalled lots: 

  • 00717009A, 00717015A, 00717024A with expiration of February or April 2019. Sold as Equate: Infants’ Ibuprofen at Walmart.
  • 00717024A, with expiration of August 2019. Sold as CVS Health: Infants’ Ibuprofen Concentrated Oral Suspension, USP (NSAID), 50 milligram per 1.25 milliliters in a half-ounce bottle at CVS Pharmacy. 
  • 55319-250-23, with expiration of August 2019. Sold as Family Wellness: Infants’ Ibuprofen Concentrated Oral Suspension, USP (NSAID), 50 mg per 1.25 mL in a half-ounce bottle at Family Dollar. 

Tri Pharma Inc. sold the affected lots to one customer and distributed them into the U.S. market. Tris Pharma has notified its customer by urgent recall notice.
