Dry and chilly weekend. Warmer temps move in next week

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Well below average temperatures on tap for the weekend.  Near to above normal numbers moves in for the end of the work week.

Today

Dry air in place keeps us mainly sunny, but still pretty cold throughout the region.  Highs top out in the upper 20s and lower 30s, with wind chills likely hoverning in the lower to middle 20s for much of the day.

Tonight:

Clear and cold conditions overnight.  Temperatures slip into the upper teens and lower 20s.

Sunday:

Another mainly sunny day, with a few clouds rolling in  – especially in our southern counties.  Dry all day, with slightly warmer high temperatures, ranging in the lower to middle 30s.

8 day forecast:

The first half of the work week is calm, quiet and chilly.  Highs hold in the middle and upper 30s through Tuesday.  Wednesday, we should near normal numbers with much more cloud cover.  Several rain chances return to the area starting overnight Wednesday into Thursday.  Potent storm system moving in Friday will bring widespread rain with gusty winds, which will likely carry over into the weekend.
