Community Link: Lawrence Deputy Chief of Staff Elia Sanchez

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Each week in Community Link, Carolene Mays-Medley and Marco Dominguez take a look at an organization or business that is making a positive impact on the community.

The City of Lawrence and Mayor Steve Collier just announced a new position in the city.

The position could make a big impact on the people of Lawrence. Elia Sanchez stopped by the WISH-TV studios to talk about the importance of the new position.

“A lot of my work has been in the area of crime prevention…” said Sanchez. “Now I’m moving on to the position of deputy chief of staff for the City of Lawrence.”

Sanchez said she is excited to step into her new role and continue working with vulnerable populations in Lawrence.

“Now I get the opportunity to run a strategic program that Mayor Steve Collier has started,” said Sanchez.
