INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – DuJuan McCoy, owner, president, and CEO of Circle City Broadcasting, parent company of WISH-TV and MyINDY-TV 23, on Wednesday announced an agreement to broadcast “The Bob & Tom Show” nightly on MyINDY-TV 23.
Hosted by veteran broadcasters Tom Griswold, Chick McGee and Kristi Lee, “The Bob & Tom Show” is nationally syndicated in 100 radio markets, heard in more than 177 countries on the Armed Forces Radio Network, and produced daily in Indianapolis. The comedy- and talk-centered program is focused on an eclectic mix of humor, news, sports, conversation and interviews. “The Bob & Tom Show” will distill its daily radio program to a special 30-minute television version, giving viewers an exclusive look into the legendary Bob & Tom studios. Viewers will be able to watch the television version the same day as its original radio broadcast.
“We’re constantly looking for ways to expand and diversify our local programming for Central Indiana viewers,” explained McCoy. “’The Bob & Tom Show’ joins a vibrant schedule of local programming including IHSAA athletics, Indy Eleven soccer, Indianapolis Indians baseball, and community and arts programming – bolstering even further our commitment to local broadcasting.”
Although heard nationally, “The Bob & Tom Show” has been a local stalwart of central Indiana broadcasting since 1983. “The Bob & Tom Show” is recognized as one of the best radio shows in the country – ranked among the top three radio programs in greater than 90% of its syndicated markets. Inducted into to the National Radio Hall of Fame in 2015, the show has been collectively recognized five times with the National Association of Broadcasters’ Marconi Award, seven for Radio Personality of the Year by The Billboard Magazine, and five times as the Radio & Records’ Classic Rock Personality of the Year.
Griswold noted, “We are thrilled to be on MyINDY-TV 23. Throwing a program into the mix that originates right here in Indianapolis is the kind of cool and first-class move that DuJuan McCoy specializes in. You’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at radio-on-TV every weeknight, with an emphasis on the silly, fun and goofy aspects of life. We need a little bit of madness and fun now, more than ever.”
“The Bob and Tom Show” will begin airing on Monday, Oct. 5, and can be seen weeknights at 11:30 p.m. on MyINDY-TV 23.
