INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A 30-year-old man was in critical condition at a hospital Wednesday night after a shooting on the near northwest side.
Medics and Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were sent about 8:55 p.m. to the 2000 block of Dexter Street. They found the man with a shot to his abdomen. He was taken to Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital, where he was rushed into surgery.
Police said the man was conscious but unable to provide information about how he was shot.
No other details were immediately available.
