Shooting on east side leaves 1 dead, 1 injured
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A man is dead and a woman is injured after a shooting on the east side early Saturday morning.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department says officers were called to the 2100 block of Lake Terrace West Drive just after 1 a.m. on a report of a person shot. That is a residential area near the intersection of East 21st Street and Mitthoeffer Road.
Police found a man and a woman with gunshot wounds inside a vehicle. The man was pronounced dead and the woman was transported to an area hospital. She was reported to be stable.
The Marion County Coroner’s Office on Sunday identified the man as 20-year-old Francisco Sandoval.
