EAST LOS ANGELES, Calif. (CNN) — Some quick thinking helped a Los Angeles woman save a kitten trapped inside her car.
Cindy Juarez said she was driving to work and heard a meow.
She pulled over and realized a kitten was trapped in her wheel well.
Firefighters and animal control officers refused to respond to her calls, saying there was nothing they could do.
The Mercedes dealership was willing to help take the car apart but at a hefty price.
So, a family friend got some tools and got to work getting the scared kitten out.
Juarez named the kitten Milagros, which means “miracle” in Spanish.
