Indianapolis 500 now 100 days away

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Friday marked the start of the 100-day countdown to the Indianapolis 500.

On Friday evening, Indianapolis Motor Speedway was hosting a celebration. Fans are celebrating with NTT IndyCar Series drivers Alexander Rossi, Zach Veach and Marcus Ericsson at a party.

Also attending the event will be Doug Boles, president of Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and singer Jim Cornelison, who performed “(Back Home Again in) Indiana” before the start of the races in 2017 and 2018.

The IndyCar season will kick off March 10 with the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg in Florida.
