INDIANAPOLIS (Inside INdiana Business) — Two Indianapolis-based commercial real estate firms are joining forces. Bradley Co. and RESOURCE Commercial Real Estate have announced plans to merge, though financial details are not being disclosed.

The companies say the merger will create the largest, independent, locally-owned, full-service commercial real estate firm in Indiana.

“Our companies share a fierce entrepreneurial spirit, a commitment to excellent client service, and a culture of teamwork that ultimately benefits our clients and the communities where we live and work,” said Brad Toothaker, chief executive officer of Bradley Co. “We both view our independent ownership as a key strength, because we can move quickly and creatively to serve our clients, while adapting in a way that meets their specific needs.”

The combined company will continue under the Bradley Co. name. RESOURCE co-founder and Chairman Sam Smith will lead the company’s Indianapolis regional office along with Bradley Principal Jon Hardy.

RESOURCE Principals Beth Patterson, Brian Wahl, Kevin Dick, Jeffrey Merritt, and co-founder Tom Osborne will become principals of Bradley Co. Additionally, more than 40 RESOURCE real estate agents will remain with the combined company.

“Joining Bradley Company creates a number of synergies that will benefit our clients while accelerating our collective growth in this ever-changing real estate environment,” said Sam Smith. “Bradley Company offered RESOURCE and our clients instant access to best of class property management services and technology. At the same time, our strong brand presence in this market will be enhanced by these strengthened services.”

Bradley Co. operates nearly a dozen offices in Indiana, Michigan and Ohio.
