Relief fund established in Huntington County

HUNTINGTON, Ind. (Inside INdiana Business) — The Huntington County Community Foundation and United Way of Huntington County have teamed together to each pledge $25,000 toward creating the Huntington County Emergency Relief Fund. The fund would support community members most affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Community Foundation and United way will provide a $2 for $1 match for every dollar donated up to $25,000. Contributions can be made online or by writing a check to the Community Foundation, with “emergency relief fund” in the memo line. All funds will be used to support local organizations responding to the pandemic.

Fund organizers also want residents to complete the United Way’s COVID-19 survey online, which can be found here. The survey is being used to find how best to allocate the most needed resources.
