JASONVILLE, Ind. (WISH) — A man died and two passengers were injured in a single-vehicle crash in Greene County Thursday night, according to Indiana State Police.
Authorities were called to State Road 59 and County Road 625 North on Thursday around 7:20 p.m. on reports of a single-vehicle crash.
When troopers arrived they found a Ford-model vehicle crashed at the bottom of an embankment. They learned the vehicle, driven by Steelie Barbee, 52, of Jasonville, had left the roadway for an unknown reason before coming to an abrupt stop.
Barbee was pronounced dead at the scene. Two passengers were also injured. They were treated for their injuries at the scene and released.
The investigation of the crash is ongoing.
