Indiana ranks 4th in nation for number of people diagnosed with sleep disorder

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Not getting enough zzz’s these days? We’ll, you’re not alone. Over 5,000 Hoosiers across the state are struggling to get enough sleep because of a disorder known as narcolepsy. 

News 8 spoke with Dr. David Sieden, senior medical director at Avadel Pharmaceuticals, about the condition, signs and symptoms and what to do should you suspect you are narcoleptic. He also talked about a new term scientists are calling “COVID-somnia” which may be making the condition worse.
