Shelbyville duo arrested for child molestation

SHELBYVILLE, Ind. (WISH) — A Shelbyville man and woman have been arrested for allegedly molesting a young boy.

Chelsea Wainscott and Logan Lockridge molested the boy twice between April 1 and May 4, according to the Shelbyville Police Department.

They also face preliminary charges of neglect of a dependent.

Child molestation and neglect of a dependent are both felony charges.

Investigators said that the child told a family member that Wainscott and Lockridge touched him inappropriately.

Police said that Lockridge took a polygraph test and failed the question about touching the child.

Police said he then admitted to the crime and said it may have even happened on a third occasion, but he could not remember the details.

Both are currently being held in the Shelby County Jail.
