Stalker arrested in Madison County
MADISON COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) – A man was arrested after police caught him stalking the same female he has stalked in the past.
According to police, he has been stalking a woman for four years.
Police responded to a suspicious vehicle abandoned in a field on Thursday morning.
They learned it belonged to 27-year-old Trey Fields.
Police located him close to where his car was found. He was near a female’s residence who has a protective order against him.
Fields was laying down in the field near the woman’s residence. He ran away from police when he saw them coming.
He tried to gain control of an officer’s weapon but was taken into custody during the violent struggle.
He faces preliminary charges of stalking, battery on a police officer, attempted disarming of a law enforcement officer, escape, invasion of privacy and resisting law enforcement.
He is being held at the Madison County Detention Center.
