INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Here’s a look at Tuesday’s business headlines.
College Basketball
The Kentucky Wildcats are the most valuable college basketball team.
They are valued at $344 million, according to a finance professor at Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis.
Purdue was ranked $12 at $123 million.
The Atlantic Coast Conference has four teams in the top seven – Duke, Louisville, Syracuse and North Carolina.
Snapchat
A new survey shows that Snapchat is still the favorite social platform ama Gen Z but it’s not the app teens are using the most.
Instagram beat out Snapchat in monthly users among Gen Zers in the Piper Jaffrey survey.
They survey had bad news for Facebook, finding its popularity dwindling.
Twitter is trying to crack down on Russian bots.
As of now you can only follow 400 accounts per day.
The old number was 1,000 followers a day.
Meanwhile, Twitter is removing six million to 7.5 million accounts a week.
March Floods
The March floods that punished the U.S. Midwest have roiled the ethanol industry.
Prices have plummeted and barrels of ethanol can’t get to the coasts, which now have a shortage of the biofuel.
The floods inflicted billions of dollars in damage to crops and homes in the U.S. Midwest and knocked out roughly 13 percent of ethanol capacity.
