Dry pattern settles in this week

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — After several days of spotty showers and storms, dry, but very warm air settles in for the second half of the work week.

Tonight:

Cold front and upper level system responsible for a few pop up showers and storms this afternoon will exit quickly to the southeast by early evening.  Expect clear skies, and cooler, but comfortable temperatures overnight.  Lows dip to the upper 50s to around 60°.

Dry Stretch Ahead:

Dry air settles in for the remainder of the week, keeping us rain free Wednesday Thursday and Friday.  Highs on Wednesday top out in the middle 80s.

Highs on Thursday hit the middle to upper 80s.

Race/Memorial Day Weekend Forecast:

Carb day looks dry and hot, with highs in the upper 80s.  A weak boundary settles in over the Midwest for the weekend, and could spark a few isolated showers and storms to the area both Saturday and Sunday.  Overall, I’m not too concerned with widespread rain chances, but radar will need to be carefully monitored on race day for a few pop up storms that could delays things.

8 Day Forecast:

Showers and storms hang around, but should be scattered for Memorial Day, with drier air settling back in for Tuesday and Wednesday of next week.  Pattern remains very warm for this time of year during the extended forecast.
