Fatal accident on U.S. 31 on Sunday
COLUMBUS, Ind. (WISH) – A Columbus man died in an accident on U.S. 31 on Sunday morning after his car hit a guardrail and partially ejected him.
Columbus police responded to a car accident on southbound U.S. 31, just south of Lowell Road, at approximately 11:42 a.m.
The driver of the SUV, 47-year-old Michael P. Garber, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to 24-Hour News partner paper Columbus Republic.
Police report that the man’s SUV left the roadway and hit a guardrail, before flipping over and partially ejecting the driver.
Police are still investigating the accident.
