Peanut Butter and Pumpkin Treats
Ingredients
2 1/2 cups whole wheat flour (not
refined white flour)
2 large eggs
1/2 cup canned pumpkin (use the
rest for people treats!)
2 tablespoons peanut butter
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175
degrees C)
Place parchment paper on baking
sheet for easy cleanup
Combine all ingredients in a large
bowl, using a strong fork. The dough will be very stiff. Add a little water to
make it more workable, but it should be dry and tough.
Choose your method for creating
shapes – if making for a small dog, make small pieces:
Make a 1/2 inch roll of the dough
and cut into 1/2 inch discs
Pinch off pieces of the dough to
roll into flattened 1/2 inch rounds
Roll out the dough with a rolling
pin to 1/2 inch and use cookie cutters to make shapes
Form custom dog bone shapes by
hand
Place on parchment paper and bake
in preheated oven about 40 minutes until hard
