The Cathedral High School choir shared their school spirit with a performance of “Irish Blessing.”Cathedral started out as an all-boys Catholic school in downtown Indianapolis in 1918. The school grew quickly and became known around the state for excellence in academics, the arts and athletics. In 1976, Cathedral trustees moved their school to the former site of Ladywood/St. Agnes, the all-girls’ academy. Later that year, girls were included in the Cathedral student body for the very first time. Famous graduates include 1985 Nobel Peace Prize Winner James Muller, Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard, Indianapolis Colts tight end Jack Doyle, and U.S. District Court Judge Tanya Walton Pratt.
